Trainee coffee buying assistant and taster
To support growth plans for the future, a rare opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Coffee Buying Assistant and Taster. Based at our state of the art roastery in North Lincolnshire, you will join an experienced coffee buying team.
Training starts in the tasting room where we will develop your tasting palate and teach you how to grade and cup green coffees. Alongside this you will support the Coffee Buyers, supportive administrative tasks using your keen eye for detail. As you progress and begin to understand the supply chain you will start to assist with the buying of coffee.
Your training period will conclude with a visit to one of our growers and suppliers.
The successful candidate will be articulate, have excellent numerical skills and a proactive, commercially minded approach. You should be a sociable, gregarious team player with the ability to achieve deadlines. Evidence of a strong academic background is required, as is the drive to develop a career within the coffee industry.
