Lincoln & York exhibits at the London Coffee Festival 2017
Earlier this month, the Lincoln & York team headed to the Truman Brewery on Brick Lane, London, for the London Coffee Festival 2017! Running from 6th to the 9th April, the LCF is one of the biggest events in the coffee calendar, offering industry experts, traders, roasters, suppliers and enthusiasts the chance to come together and immerse themselves in the world of coffee.
Our stand was placed in our usual spot in the Hyde Park hall, near our pals at La Cimbali, who supplied the fantastic M100 Espresso Machine we used to serve up our delicious bespoke coffee.
This year our coffee tasters Rebekah, Kieran and Tom roasted two special coffees for the festival. The first, our Brick Lane Blend, was a combination of Brazil, Ethiopia and Guatemala arabica, offering a smooth and syrupy body, with hints of apricot and milk chocolate. This blend works wonders as an espresso, producing a fantastic, long-lasting crema. Our second coffee for the event was a delectable Brazilian single-origin coffee – a heavy-bodied yellow bourbon. This coffee is smooth with notes of butterscotch and hazelnut brittle, tasting particularly amazing through milk-based drinks.
As well as having the chance to catch up with some of our customers and other familiar faces in the industry, we enjoyed meeting new ones. The team also made the most of the many activities, demonstrations and displays hosted by the festival. From latte art competitions to coffee cocktail demos, the coffee-inspired artwork provided by The Coffee Art Project to live roasting, the event was a coffee-lover’s paradise!
Thanks to all who stopped by to see us – here’s to planning next year’s!
