Great Easter Bake Off

In the build up to Easter, staff at Lincoln & York held their own Easter themed Great British Bake Off and raised over £150 for charity.

This was the third GBBO event to be held and not only did we have a record entry of 20 cakes but the standard of decoration was top class with very creative chickens, lambs, birds’ nests, decorated eggs and rabbits on show.

Judges for the day were Lincoln & York’s answer to Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry – Director, James Sweeting and Key Account Manager, Jane Thompson. Each cake was tasted and marks were given for appearance, taste and technical ability.

Congratulations to Technical Manager, Nigel Aspinall, for being a very popular winner with his Easter field carrot standoff between the lambs and rabbits!

We are delighted to be able to make a donation of £153.44 to local hospice Lindsey Lodge.
